Kiwanis Grant for the History Museum

Updated: Feb 8, 2021

At the December Board meeting, PHS President Bill Guerrant announced that the Kiwanis Club Foundation of Danville has awarded $75,000 to make major improvements to the Ennis Building as part of the PHS Museum Project. PHS member Glenn Giles was instrumental in drafting and submitting the grant proposal. The grant will be used to make the building handicapped-accessible by altering several entrances and renovating the restroom. The grant will also provide for the installation of heating, air conditioning, and lighting needed to create a stable storage and display environment for environmentally fragile historic artifacts.
